Darren Wershler-Henry at UofC

DARREN WERSHLER-HENRY

Darren Wershler-Henry is not only an Assistant Professor of Communication
Studies at Wilfrid Laurier University, but he is also the former, senior
editor at Coach House Books. Wershler-Henry has written two collections of
poetry: Nicholodeon (Coach House Books, 1997) and The Tapeworm Foundry
(Anansi Press, 2000)‹the latter shortlisted for the Trillium Prize. He is
also the author of six books about the culture of technology, including the
bestselling Internet Directory 2000, Free as in Speech and Beer, and
Commonspace: Beyond Virtual Community (with Mark Surman). His most recent,
academic treatise is The Iron Whim: A Fragmented History of Typewriting
(McClelland & Stewart, 2005). His next book of poetry, Apostrophe (with Bill
Kennedy), is forthcoming from ECW Press in April, 2006.
