About the readers:
Douglas Barbour is a poet, critic, and reviewer. He is Professor Emeritus of English at the University of Alberta, where he has taught creative writing, Canadian literature, twentieth century poetry and poetics, and science fiction and fantasy. His numerous books of poetry include Visible Visions: The Selected Poems of Douglas Barbour (NeWest Press 1984), which won Alberta's Stephan Stephannson Award for poetry, Breath Takes (Wolsak & Wynn 2002), and Continuations, with Sheila E. Murphy (University of Alberta Press 2006). He has read his poetry around the globe and was inaugurated into the City of Edmonton Cultural Hall of Fame in 2003.
rob mclennan lives in Ottawa even though he was born there. The author of a dozen trade collections of poetry, his most recent are named an errant (Stride UK, 2006) and aubade (Broken Jaw Press, 2006). A collection of literary essays is due to appear in fall 2007 with ECW Press, and he is currently putting the finishing touches on There Is No Mountain: Andrew Suknaski New & Selected Poems for Chaudiere Books, a new publishing house he has co-founded in Ottawa. He often posts reviews and rants
