Calgary Blow-Out!

filling Station is thrilled to announce the return of the Calgary Blow-Out!

This year's Blow-Out! will be taking place on September 14th and 15th at the Carpenter's Union Hall in Kensington (310 10th St. NW). The event encompasses 3 performances taking place over 2 days: A Friday night reading at 7pm, a Saturday afternoon reading at 1pm, and a Saturday evening reading at 7pm.

All of the artists who will be performing at the Calgary Blow Out! have ties to the Calgary literary community. The event features many local artists currently based in Calgary as well as some currently out-of-town writers who are still connected to the Calgary community. The event will also feature two local bands and a series of short films.

Admission is absolutely free and open to the public. There will be a cash bar.

Authors will have their books for sale, and limited edition ephemera will be produced for the event.

Stay Tuned: a list of readers/performers is coming shortly!
