bill bissett is one of Canada’s most prolific and influential poets, painters and musicians. For over 40 years, his work has challenged traditional notions of grammar, language and politics, and he has been a guiding influence for countless artists in multiple generations.

The week of November 13-17, bissett will present his work in schools and traverse the city with a film crew in tow, meeting people, sharing his poetry and speaking about his luminous career. Every night, he will update a special online BLOG inviting dialogue with the community. He is also available for interviews!

Then, on the weekend, the city explodes with an extravaganza tribute to bill bissett! Ten influential and prominent poets from across North America will gather to read poems about bissett, accompanied by a live band and a historical multimedia presentation of his paintings, photos, music and videos.
